SUN:
One Corona ring,
I will present you darling,
On our espousal!
Let ring be my proposal.
Accept this tribute O Earth!
EARTH:
Oh! Thank you so much!
Tell me but, how can I touch,
The love you have sent?
For between us is present
The Moon! Declaring his love!
SUN:
Moon shines by my grace!
I impart glow to his face!
Does he better me?
Am I not suited for thee?
Do accept my proposal!
EARTH:
Mighty you are, sir.
But a lady’s heart leads her!
Pure love is my wont.
Ignore my lover I can’t!
Infidel in love I ain’t.
THE QUIBBLING SUN
SUN:
Cavalier dearest!
Moon, why do you take my test?
Did I not respect?
Was then my treatment suspect?
Why did you propose my Earth?
MOON:
Never knew you loved!
Keeping secret beloved!
Why were you so coy?
Like them, those soldiers of Troy!
Force strong yet hidden within!
