PART I
It was love at first sight,
When Apollo beheld Earth.
What could he gift Gaia?
For nothing seemed of worth!
Quarried he choice gems thus,
and turned them into stars!
Gaia was not impressed:
Interested she was in Ares!
beat he the best of silver so:
milk - he poured over Night!
Poseidon, she was eying:
allured by imposing might!
Wove he the softest shawl then:
Beloved - he draped in cloud!
Zeus, She thanked on arousal.
Ah! Acclaims taketh the loud!
Effecting a bright ambiance twirl,
fulgent he made then days!
Scorched, She headed Netherworld:
comforting embrace of Hades.
PART II
Hermes - wise messenger he,
presented a sound advice.
"Humble needn't grow meek, friend.
Thy virtue has turned vice!"
Mulling over the advice thus,
he thought a wonderful thought!
"I shall ring my Beloved such:
Ring - my hands would've wrought!"
And so was shaped Corona:
the most beautiful ring!
Offering it to Gaia then,
Proposal - he did sing!
Eclipse was his destiny,
He was never to get his Queen.
For though she heard his offer,
Yet He could not be seen!
