The Nimbus Pirates

08 – JUN – 2007

Look to the horizon! Do you see?
Congregation of rain clouds, yonder.
Assembly of blackguards, battle-ready!
How they take after them buccaneers, I wonder!

The fleet breeze be their fleet,
Sailing swiftly in boundless sky.
Thundering cannons: ingraining fear,
Raining arrows on all things dry!

Grapple irons thrown to grasp,
Lightening be them grapplers’ ropes!
Hail be then their cannon balls,
Impelled when storming; enfeebling hopes!

The pirates’ advent is feared so,
See how moon conceals his sheen!
The sun bedims his ardent glow.
Daunted lands grow sickly green!

Ruthlessly assaulting highlands,
The pirates spill much blood.
Lo! The river-veins bleed so,
Making them lowlands flood!

.
.
.
Oh! Don’t worry, the clouds are just so.
Just an imagination of mine you see,
Picturing them as pillaging pirates,
For I am jealous while they roam free!
