24 – APR – 2007
Everyday without fail;
Ever since the very start.
Sailed and hovered about her,
He – the victim of his own heart!
Ruby became then sunset,
Carmine: the first light.
Crimsoning when parting,
Blushing again at first sight!
From east till west he eyed her,
Coyly watching askance.
Earth thus turned warm then,
Aware of every glance!
He watched her in awe,
Never shifting his gaze.
Yet when he did leave her,
Gaia, was left in haze!
Yes, Sun was handsome,
That fair face aglow.
Yet he lacked confidence but:
“What if she says no”?
Expecting sun to declare love,
Terra waited for an eternity.
But he, in his sorry state,
Asked not her hand, mere amity!
In rains then she wept thus,
For, she too loved her admirer.
The one, whose eyes said so much,
She had never needed a mirror!
In this gloom she beheld moon:
The fair Prince of night.
Lo! Her sorrow deepened so,
For now she craved this other Knight!
He kneeled, kissed her hand,
Making her tidal pulse go high.
She shivered in his arms so,
And ‘Gave in’ with a sigh!
He proposed: “I love you”.
“Would you be my wife?
Marry me O darling!
I’ll love you more than life! ”.
She would have said, “yes” then,
Had she not felt for Sun.
So she fairly avowed thus,
“I’ll marry him, who has won”!
Both the Lovers clashed then,
Bringing in day a night!
Sun did fight fiercely,
Yet won the ‘Other’ knight!
The Moon covered the sun!
A knight shadowed the king!
And lo! From this very feat,
Moon produced the wedding ‘Corona’ ring!
